Transcript: Progress Update Complications Galore Issues Lazer Etch The only software for our laser cutter is on Bishops laptop so I have to cut it after school. Until yesterday I didn't have the right dimensions. Nuts Pipe Threading Pipe threading is not similar in any way to normal threading and I will need to find a rather unique nut for the other side. In addition, any nut is going to need to have some form of self locking so it doesn't rattle off and not be coated in zinc as that could create toxic gases. Sparks Ignition Could attempt to light the engine from the intake using a propane torch. Otherwise I need to get a spark plug and wire that in as well. Unfortunately that means I also need to create some sort of 30kV DC electrical current. Some easy solutions could be to take the coils from a car and use a car battery, take the coil from a neon light, or maybe take the coil from a gas oven at a junk yard.
